The downside of living in the campo (Spanish countryside) are the roads. A lot of roads are country roads, not concrete. Rocks sticking out, and the more it rains the worse it gets. With all the rain in March and April lots of roads are in a terrible state. You need a 4x4 to use the short cuts.

But don’t worry: most villas are accessible on concrete roads, it just takes longer.

We love our short cuts but you have to drive carefully and slow.
