Wearing hats and caps

A recommendation when living in Andalusia:

“Why do you wear a hat 👒 in the winter in Andalusia?” I was asked recently.

Well, simply to protect my hair colour.

Living in London for 15 years, my hairdresser always coloured my hair lighter. Living in Andalusia it’s the opposite: it’s coloured darker! The Spanish sun ☀️ does the rest! Not only in the summertime the Spanish sun is very strong. With blonde coloured hair you easily end up with yellow hair 😬 Hence, whenever I am in the sun I wear a hat.

Other reasons are obviously to protect the skin.
